ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

We will be one year old in a few weeks.  I have analyzed our accomplishments since we started this ministry.  The purpose of this blog is to "explain God" through the reading of His Word.  Faith comes from hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
But as I consider whether the blog is really assisting with our relationship with the One and Only God, I realize that our outreach is also important.  So, I reflect on our action ministry.  Do others see Jesus when they look at us?  Have we "fed His sheep"?  How are we doing with the gifts He has given us?
In the past year, we have prayed for all who have requested it, and there have been many.  Our first line of defense is our knees.  When we understand this reality, we don't hesitate to pray or to ask for prayer.
We have provided nursing care for two who have asked for help.  One had surgery, the other found himself also unable to care for himself due to illness.  No one else came.
We have provided Christian guidance and teaching for those we have come in contact with.  Most of the time, it was requested.  We don't usually impose our world view on others, but others see our lives and know Who we belong to.
We had someone leave the state and were in need of help with their belongings they left behind.  We gave of our time and muscle to care for that one.  We cleaned out the house they were renting, even to the point of shampooing the carpets.  We want Jesus to shine through when others see Christians and leaving a mess behind is not acceptable.
We provided financial assistance to a mom who was in need of returning to her family.  She was in one state and her family was in another.  We understand that sometimes we find ourselves in situations we did not anticipate.  It is just a blessing, though, to have family who love us and are willing to help.
We even put gasoline in a guy's car as he was needing to get to work.
We have also started four other blog sites:  http://omaslife.blogspot.com/, http://omaspolitics.blogspot.com/, http://omashealth.blogspot.com/, and http://tbcspeaks.blogspot.com/.
So, this past year has been a year of serving others. The counseling and teaching are a big part of what we do.  We choose not to judge, but to encourage others.  We help empower our brothers and sisters.
We look forward to the next year, as we begin yet another ministry.  When Jesus returns, what will He find you doing?  Our new ministry will help us focus on how we want to have Jesus find us.  We want to be busy pleasing Him.  Join us.  Leave a comment.  No comment is published until it is reviewed.

AUGUST 26, 2013

We are into our third year of this ministry.  Today, we are giving full-time, 24/7 care to a Senior and part time assistance to another.  We have decided to step out into unknown territory, as we are currently in the process of preparing to receive a young man who will soon be released from prison.   Prayer support is requested for us.
We have assisted many in their hour of trials and continue with our prayer ministry.
Not all prayer requests are published, out of respect and privacy concerns.  We have prayed for our nation and for God to forgive our sins and restore our relationship with Him.  We have grown in our understanding of The Most High God and are eternally grateful that we have His printed Word to help in that understanding.
When Jesus returns, what will He find you doing to promote His Kingdom?  We want to be busy pleasing Him.  Join us.  Leave a comment.
