GOD'S WORD AND HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE

GOD'S WORD AND HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE

In Genesis, God created the world.  He made man in His image, and He made woman for a help meet for the man. (2:18)   The Hebrew meaning for the phrase, "help meet" in the Word of God, simply means "one who helps".  Genesis 2:24:  for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and cling to his wife and the two will become one flesh.
Later in Genesis, Noah was commanded to gather animals into his ark, along with his wife, his children and their spouses.  The animals were to be male and female (7:9).  God did not ask Noah to gather the homosexuals onto the ark.
I am having a really hard time trying to make homosexual marriage fit into God's plan.  If God had no provision for homosexual marriage and the Constitution of the United States had no provision for homosexual marriage and I have no desire to marry a homosexual, why is this such a big deal in politics?  Of course it has long been accepted that Hillary is homosexual.
I believe any who wants to condone homosexual marriage is homosexual themselves.  With a history of working in the healthcare field, I can understand giving homosexuals a way to access some of the benefits that marriage gives, but I firmly believe civil unions are enough.
How can the Supreme Court of the land give in to political action committees?  We have legalized murder of pre-born babies, government forced purchase of commerce, and now pressure is being put on the Supreme Court to make homosexual marriage equal to heterosexual marriage.  I can't wait until sexual deviants are allowed to "marry" their pets and livestock.
God, forgive us our sins.  Have mercy on this nation.

NO RAIN BEFORE THE GREAT FLOOD

NO RAIN BEFORE THE GREAT FLOOD

The reason for this post is because I was talking with a very close friend today and mentioned that there being no rain before the Great Flood.  I felt obliged to document where I got my information.  We begin in Genesis 2:4:

This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created.  When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens--(5) and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to work the ground, (6) but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground--(7) the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.    (NIV)

So, we have no rain upon the earth.  All vegetation, "THE WHOLE SURFACE OF THE GROUND", is being watered by streams of water.

Now, we have established that there was no rain before Adam and Eve until the day of The Great Flood in Noah's time.

We pick up the story again in chapter 7:1:

The Lord then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.  (2) Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, (3) and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.  (4) Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forth days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.

I note that God  found Noah righteous and yet, he instructed him to take his sons and daughters-in-law into the Ark.  God did not find the children righteous but saved them anyway.  He found Jesus holy but allowed me into His family even though I am not holy.  Thank you Lord.

This was really not a study moment, but just little details that I find interesting (about the rain).  Stay hungry for The Word.

What do you think?  Is there little details that you find interesting in The Bible?  You are welcomed to share them in the comment section.
